Soft water, head to toe

Water softener installation

Hard water is the reason for the spots on your dishes, the film in your shower, and skin that feels dry no matter what. A softener fixes it at the source. We test your water first, size the system to it, and set you up with the right kind, including a salt-free option when you want less upkeep.

💧

Traditional water softeners

The complete fix for the Valley's hard water. Removes the hardness so scale, spots, and soap scum stop for good.

🌿

Salt-free conditioners

A lower-maintenance option with no salt to haul, for homeowners who want less upkeep and no added sodium.

📏

Sized to your water

Too small and it can't keep up, too big and you overpay. We size it to your home and how hard your water really is.

Installation process

Your path to great water.

  1. 1

    Free water hardness test

We test your water's hardness (in grains per gallon) so the system is sized to your home, not a guess.

  2. 2

    System sizing

We size the softener to your hardness level, household size, and peak water use.

  3. 3

    Installation scheduling

We'll select an installation date that works with your schedule and equipment/technician availability.

  4. 4

    Bypass valve installed

The system ties in after your main shutoff and pressure regulator, ahead of the water heater, with a code-required bypass valve so you always have a manual way to divert water.

  5. 5

    Drain line & air gap

The drain line is set up with a proper air gap to prevent back-siphoning, and the resin bed and salt are loaded.

  6. 6

    Startup & programming

We restore pressure, purge trapped air, program the control head to your hardness and household size, and run an initial regeneration cycle before it goes into service.

Common questions

What's the difference between a softener and a salt-free conditioner?+

A traditional softener removes the hardness minerals, so it stops scale and spots most completely and gives you that classic soft-water feel. A salt-free conditioner changes how the minerals behave so they scale less, without adding sodium or needing salt refills. It's lower-maintenance, and we'll walk you through the trade-offs.

Will soft water feel slippery?+

A little, and most people come to like it. That 'slippery' feeling is just soap rinsing away cleanly instead of leaving a film on your skin. It's a sign the softener is doing its job.

How much upkeep is a softener?+

A traditional softener needs salt topped off now and then, which we can deliver on a schedule so you never haul bags yourself. A salt-free conditioner needs even less. Either way, we set it up and show you exactly what to expect.

How long does installation take?+

Most softener installs are done in a day. We shut the water off, tie the system into your main line, set up the drain, start it up, and walk you through it before we leave.

How much does a water softener cost installed?+

See the typical range above. It depends on the system type and your home's setup, and your free water test gets you an exact, itemized quote.

Is a bypass valve really necessary?+

Yes. It's not just a convenience, it's often required by local code so you can manually divert water for service or an emergency. We install it as a standard part of every job.

Soft water rinses clean instead of leaving minerals behind, so shower glass, tile, and fixtures stay clear of the chalky film and soap scum that builds up from hard water.
